FACT SHEET REACH Air Medical Services Company Overview Company Overview: REACH Air Medical Services (REACH), headquartered in Santa Rosa, California, supports operations in Concord, Lakeport, Lodi, Marysville, Redding, Sacramento, and Santa Rosa, California. REACH provides air medical transport services to all age groups utilizing rotor (helicopter) and fixed wing (airplane) aircraft regionally, nationally and internationally and has performed more than 25,000 air ambulance missions since its inception in 1987. REACH transports approximately 3,000 patients per year, including 700 children per year and has been the primary provider of air ambulance services for critically ill and injured children for Children’s Hospital of Oakland since 1993. Fact: REACH was the first air ambulance company to receive FAA approval to respond in low-visibility conditions using established GPS routing procedures. REACH continues to be a leader in air ambulance safety, currently installing Night Vision Goggle equipment in its aircraft to increase night flying safety. Fact: The REACH maintenance department, one of the preeminent modification shops in the industry, operates under its own 145 Air Carrier Certificate. REACH’s FAA licensed Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) maintenance technicians customize both cockpit and patient care cabins to a higher standard of safety and utility. REACH operates under our won FAA-approved inspection program and has received a repair station license from the FAA, indicating REACH adheres to the highest standards.
